Dan Bao Ke is a group of multi-talented young adults mainly based in Vietnam. Although two of the members are currently living in the United States, all of the members are Vietnam-oriented and their nationalities are Vietnamese. The group was formerly founded by the multimedia parody editorial duo Nghia Nguyen & RWO in June 2008 and was named R2. After a few months getting a lot more reputation according to their highly respected parody posters, remade videos and more, R2 warmly welcomed 3 more members (Vildego, Lee, and 44vn), who are into completely different multimedia fields - which ultimately results in forming Dan Bao Ke a really diverse group accompanied by multi talents and skills.
The Dan Bao Ke group - commonly known as the DBK - is divided into 7 divisions: blogging, photography, graphics designing, IT, web development, gaming and networking. The DBK is famous for the phenomenon skills of making their own materials look real and popping professional-looking even though none of the members has been going through any real multimedia academic school or institute. It’s believed that all of the DBK members self-teach themselves and help one another.
In March 2009, Nghia Nguyen (one of the two founders of Dan Bao Ke) unveiled the teaser poster of their rumored-to-be major movie. The content of the movie is written by himself and the other group member, Lee. When being asked about the plot, Nghia Nguyen briefly proclaimed that the movie is about a dark side of the Vietnamese society after the year 1975 - right when the war ended. “A few remnants remaining after the war finished in Vietnam were just poverty, starve, impoverishment and chaos. The whole country got stuck in pandemonium. Taking advantage of a one-in-a-million-year circumstance, an influence of evil bastards rose up and bullied the whole civilization. Dan Bao Ke was created to stop that.”. The movie is set to be out by September 08th, 2010. Thus far, 3 movie posters have been released, two of which are role-introductory.
Their website (www.danbaoke.com) has been publicly set on July 07th, 2009 and it was configured by the group’s IT geek 44vn. It’s still being underdeveloped and expected to be complete in a near future.
